      Description

Sizing is for implementing MIN only.
MAX is split out as a dependent ticket.

Our current maintenance of the MIN/MAX in the view only is able to pick up the index with group by column defined in the source table.

Although it uses an index scan, but it still has to seq scan the MIN/MAX for each group. If user define an multiple column index including the group by columns and MIN/MAX, we may should use that index instead.

Add DDL/catalog tests to detect use of indexes for different columns.

Perf tests should show improvement on min/max maintenance when usable indexes exist.
